I love these posts. There is no image that I can find, but in Dying Young, there is a Pre-Raphaelite moment and several other moments that are related. The character studies German romanticism, Art, and Klimt. Julia Roberts' character looks like a Pre-Raphaelite model in many of the scenes. The whole movie has that feel. There is even a maze in the film, which is related to these themes. Again love these posts. Your blog is so inspiring.

Many thanks for this review Stephanie - the revision looks like a must-have for anyone more deeply interested in the PRB. I am pleased to hear Lizzie Siddal's work is given a strong emphasis and also intrigued to find out more about the PRBs adventures in photography. I'd like to ask is there any reference to the influence of or reaction against the High Renaissance ideals the Brotherhood's name hints at - did this spill into the writings of Rossetti - or any others?

Many kind regards
H Niyazi

As a lover of both Shakespeare and Pre-Raphaelite art I was glad to find your post. I have taught my students the interconnection of all the arts through history, whether the finished piece was created using pen, brush, or music notes. :)
