New Pre-Raphaelite Sightings

Imagine my surprise when Ophelia by John Everett Millais was a focal point of a rerun this weekend on Cold Case!

The victims, murdered by an Art History Professor, had been posed to mimic Ophelia by Millais:

  1. Also notable: the little girl in the new film Hugo recites from Christina Rossetti!

    I might mention that a psychoanalytic approach to her religious materials is a waste of time… it completely misinterprets her mode of writing, the content of her writing, and her context. She would be appalled at the cover of that book that was posted on the main page. Hopefully, you understand since you seem to adore the Pre-Raphaelites! 🙂
