Our local library has an annual fund raising sale. There are literally thousands of donated books and the sale is so popular that a few regulars camp out overnight in order to be the first in line. It’s a dream come true for a book lover. The first year I went, I pushed my one year old daughter in a stroller. Now she is seventeen and has spent her entire life loving this book sale.
As usual, we bought a large amount of books. But what really surprised me was happening upon this copy of Poor Splendid Wings: The Rossettis and their Circle. A nice addition to my Pre-Raphaelite book collection.
