On the eighth of June in 1829, Sir John Everett Millais was born. His artistic talent was obvious from a young age and he was the youngest student to enter the Royal Academy Schools at age eleven. Millais was a founding member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and his early Pre-Raphaelite works are shining examples of Pre-Raphaelitism. And even though I have read so many comments from people who criticize his later works, I cannot help but love them. Late era Millais may be different from early era Millais, but he is still brilliant.
